Zurawski is starting his third season at Celtic Park |
Celtic striker Maciej Zurawski will battle for his place with the Scottish champions despite interest from former club Wisla Krakow. The Poles have expressed a desire to take Zurawski on loan amid an injury crisis, while Marseille have also been linked with a move for the 30-year-old.
"I'll stay in Glasgow and fight for my place in the Celtic attack," Zurawski told the Scottish Sun.
"Wisla will always be close to my heart - but for now I'll stay with Celtic."
Zurawski has not featured since Celtic's opening league game - a 0-0 draw with Kilmarnock.
But he added: "I am back in training after a foot injury and I hope to at least be on the bench for Saturday's game against Hearts."
The Poland international, who has a year to run on his Celtic contract, scored 20 goals during his first season in Scotland.
He managed 10 goals last term, having been sidelined late in the season by injury.
"There are a lot of strikers at Celtic and every day I have to fight for my place," he added.
"You never say never and maybe in the winter I'll have to consider my situation.
"But at the moment I won't even think of that."
