Strachan was pleased with his side's first half showing |
Celtic manager Gordon Strachan was left to rue a series of squandered chances in the first half as Rangers emerged with a 1-0 Old Firm derby win. "I thought the first half was as good as we've played in an Old Firm game," he told BBC Sport. "In terms of passing, tempo and chances.
"They scored a wonder-goal from I don't know where and it galvanised them and we took a bit of time to recover.
"We got back into but we were a bit basic in our play."
Celtic are out of sight in the title race and Strachan was not too downhearted after the loss.
"If the boys continue to give me that level of effort and commitment, I'll be a happy man," he added.
