Strachan said he was deligthed with his side's victory |
Celtic boss Gordon Strachan said he was delighted with his players following the 2-1 win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie. Strachan singled out goalscorer Craig Beattie for his performance against the Dons' rearguard - and said he was vital in securing victory.
"I thought his all-round game today was very good," said Strachan.
Beattie and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink were both withdrawn suffering from hamstring strains but should be available to face AC Milan on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Celtic substitute Kenny Miller suffered a bizarre head injury when he collided with linesman James Bee during his warm-up.
Miller was unable to come on in place of Beattie forcing Celtic to throw on Aiden McGeady instead.
But Strachan said: "He is away now to get stitched up, but he should be okay (for the Milan game)."
