Gordon Strachan wants to keep Englishman Lee Naylor |
Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has rebuffed an approach by Fulham for left-back Lee Naylor. The English Premier League outfit's manager, Laurie Sanchez, told the Daily Mail: "I made an inquiry to Gordon about Lee Naylor.
"But that was as far as it got, because Gordon immediately told me that the player wasn't available for transfer. That was the end of the matter."
Naylor impressed in his first season after joining Celtic from Wolves.
Meanwhile, there has been no move by Celtic for Fulham defender Moritz Volz.
Sanchez and Volz's agent, David Giess, confirmed that the Scottish champions had not made an approach for the 24-year-old German.
Fulham on Monday signed forward Diomansy Kamara, who had been linked with Celtic, from West Brom for 6m.
Meanwhile, Wigan have outbid Celtic and have had a 5.3m offer for midfielder Jason Koumas accepted by West Brom.
