Donati said he was looking forward to playing for Celtic |
Massimo Donati has said he is excited by the prospect of completing his 3m transfer to Celtic from AC Milan. The 26-year-old midfielder, who has agreed a four-year deal, passed a medical in Glasgow and will be unveiled at Celtic Park on Friday.
Speaking through his interpreter, he told BBC Sport: "I'm very proud to be here to play for Celtic.
"The most important thing is to win and I know everything will be amazing. I want to win things with Celtic."
Donati cost the Italian giants 10m when he signed from Atalanta in 2001.
He spent last season back on loan to Atalanta, having previously been farmed out to Parma, Torino and Sampdoria.
His previous club had been one of those reportedly interested in securing his signature, along with Sampdoria and Palermo.
The midfielder said he was looking forward to sampling the pressure and responsibility associated with playing for Gordon Strachan's side.
