 Celtic manager Gordon Strachan |
Celtic manager Gordon Strachan was magnanimous in defeat after Falkirk knocked out the CIS Insurance Cup holders after a penalty shoot-out. "First of all, well done to Falkirk," he said. "They went at it and made some chances and so did we.
"It went to penalties and they did better than us, it was as simple as that, so well done to them.
"We are suffering, which you have to after a defeat. It's our first hiccup for a while."
Most observers suggested that Hearts had been unlucky to lose to the Scottish Premier League leaders at Celtic Park on Saturday.
"Maybe we used up our luck on Saturday against Hearts, but that's life," said Strachan.
"Eventually you get what you deserve, but you will have a few blips on the way and hopefully that's one of them."
