McGeady has delivered some stand-out displays

Now the 20-year old cannot wait to take on Manchester United in the Champions League and face fellow wingers such as Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo.

McGeady said: "Ronaldo is a player you look up to. He's quick and strong.

"I'm also a big fan of Giggs. He's been a top player for over a decade and we'd all love to have a career like his."

McGeady spent some time at Old Trafford as a youth but is glad to be fulfilling his dreams with Celtic.

He explained: "When I was a schoolboy, I used to go down there with other boys from Scotland.

"It was a good experience and there was a chance of signing for them.

"But Celtic was where I wanted to be and I'm glad that was the decision I made."
