Netherlands striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink has completed his switch from PSV Eindhoven to Celtic. The Scottish champions have forked out a �3.4m fee for the 27-year-old who has signed a three-year deal with the option of a further year.
Vennegoor of Hesselink said: "It is a fantastic move to a great club. I had five years at PSV and they are a great club too but this is a step up for me.
"I intended to go to another country and had a good feeling about Celtic."
The Dutchman will not make his debut against Hibernian this weekend but cannot wait until he plays his first game at Celtic Park.
He added: "Celtic are a fantastic club and anyone who knows football around the world
knows the club, their great history and great fans.
"I hope to score goals and also be a good team player so that, when Celtic
are playing good, I'm playing good."
Vennegoor of Hesselink began his career at FC Twente before moving to PSV in 2001.
