Thomas Gravesen has been told he is not wanted by Capello |
Real Madrid midfielder Thomas Gravesen is not ruling out a move to Celtic but would rather stay at the Bernebeau to fight for his place back in the team. The Denmark international's agent, John Sivebaek, told BBC Sport that he is aware of interest from Celtic.
"He would consider a move to any of Europe's top clubs, but his preference is to stay in Madrid," he said.
New Madrid coach Fabio Capello has told Gravesen, who arrived from Everton in 2005, he can leave.
Gravesen is likely to have to take a substantial wage cut if he was to move to Celtic.
"I have an idea of the price Real Madrid will ask for, but I don't know if that would be too much," said Sivebaek.
"The ball is in Celtic's court to make an agreement with Madrid.
"Maybe it will be difficult because of the wages and so on, but you never know."
