McGeady has made four appearances for Celtic |
Celtic's 18-year-old midfielder Aiden McGeady has signed a new four-year deal with the club. The teenager broke into the team at the end of the season and was capped by the Republic of Ireland this month.
"I'm absolutely thrilled that Aiden has signed this new four-year contract," said Celtic manager Martin O'Neill.
"Without wanting to talk players up, Aiden has enormous potential and I am delighted he thinks he can realise his potential here at Celtic."
Now McGeady, who appeared as a late substitute for the Irish against Jamaica, has set his sights on a regular first team berth at Celtic.
"I am delighted to have committed myself to Celtic for the next four years and I am really looking forward to working with all the other players to try and achieve more success for the club," said McGeady.
"I was fortunate enough to feature in the first team last season and I will be working hard to try and establish myself as a regular first team player next season and beyond."
McGeady joins fellow young Celtic players David Marshall, John Kennedy, Shaun Maloney and Stephen McManus in signing new contracts at the club.
