Sunderland midfielder Liam Noble has extended his loan with Carlisle United until the end of the season.
The Cramlington-born 19-year-old, who is a product of the Premier league side's academy, has made just two appearances for the Cumbrians so far.
"Liam has a fantastic attitude and he has really impressed us since he got here," Carlisle boss Greg Abbott said.
"He showed us what he can bring to the side and we're delighted that we've got him here until the end of the season."
Noble scored five times in 14 appearances for the Black Cats' under-18 team last season.
He made his first start for The Cumbrians in Tuesday night's 4-0 Johnstone's Paint Trophy Northern Area Final first leg win over Huddersfield Town.
"He has brought something a bit different and that is important for us as we go into a vital stage of the campaign," Abbott added.
An option to extend the deal for a further period has been agreed between the clubs should Carlisle be involved in the League One play-offs.
