Carlisle United manager John Ward has backed striker Danny Graham to continue his good run of scoring form.

Graham has netted four times in his last six games following a 19-game run without a goal.

Ward told BBC Radio Cumbria: "He's shown a lot of mental strength in recent weeks.

"He'd been questioned when he went through that run without a goal but he's worked hard and he's found his form again."

Graham has scored 13 times this season including Monday night's match winner at Nottingham Forest. And the former Middlesbrough trainee has now scored 20 goals in 41 starts for the Cumbrians.

"I took him out of the side, put him back in again and moved him around and I'm delighted with the way he's playing right now," said Ward.

"You forget that he's still only 22 and still learning. Like Joe Garner, he's a tremendous young striker who is working hard for the team."
