The 19-year-old left-back has agreed a contract until the end of December after impressing Carlisle's caretaker boss Greg Abbott during a trial spell.

Abbott told the News and Star: "He's got good pace and aggression. He's got lots to learn, but wouldn't be with us if he was the finished article."

Campion was released by Birmingham last season and spent time with Shrewsbury and Hereford United over the summer.
