Carlisle have appointed Simon Smith as goalkeeping coach for the new season. He has already worked with the Cumbrians under the guidance of Mick Wadsworth and Mervyn Day.
Smith is an experienced coach having spent six seasons in the Premiership - he enjoyed spells at Newcastle, Sunderland, Wigan and Hartlepool.
Manager Neil McDonald told the club's website: "We have brought Simon in because we feel that our keepers need to have those specialist sessions."
