Carlisle United defender Peter Murphy has handed the Cumbrians a major pre-season boost by agreeing a new two-year deal. Murphy, 26, was out of contract this summer but has now committed himself to the club where he has played almost 275 games since signing in 2001.
"We're delighted because he had a fantastic season last season," boss Neil McDonald told United's website.
Republic of Ireland international Murphy joined Carlisle from Blackburn.
