Carlisle midfielder Simon Hackney has signed a new one-year contract at Brunton Park tying him to the club until the summer of 2008. The 22-year-old winger joined the Blues from non-league Woodley Sports in February 2005 and has since made 53 appearances, scoring seven times.
He told the club website: "This is what I've been working really hard for. It's been a great two-year experience.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed being here everything about it is second to none."
