Cardiff City have signed Hull City midfielder Seyi Olofinjana on a season-long loan.
The Nigerian international joined the Tigers from Stoke City in a £3m deal in August 2009 but was unable to hold down a regular first-team place last season.
However, the former Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brann player did manage 11 starts for Hull, with another eight league appearances off the bench.
Cardiff already have Jason Koumas, Tom Heaton and Danny Drinkwater on loan.
The Championship club have only been able to register players since last Friday when a Football League transfer embargo was lifted.
The ban was imposed due to a failure to file year-end accounts and a delay in paying debts, including £1.3m owed to HM Revenue and Customs.
The Bluebirds began the new league campaign with a 1-1 draw at home to Sheffield United on Sunday and are next in action on Wednesday against Burton Albion in the first round of the Carling Cup.
Olofinjana, who says he is contemplating his international future, will not be considered for the Burton match.
But Cardiff manager Dave Jones says Heaton will play in the game.
