Cardiff have beaten and Leicester three times this season
Cardiff City boss Dave Jones is confident his side can live their Premier League promotion dream.
The Bluebirds face Leicester at Walkers Stadium in the play-off first leg on Sunday with the second leg on Wednesday 12 May at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Blackpool and Nottingham Forest contest their play-off in games on Saturday and Tuesday.
Jones said: "We're all chasing the dream and we'll be confident without being overconfident."
Cardiff ended the regular season on Sunday with a 2-0 defeat at Derby County with a largely unfamiliar line-up as 10 injured players sat out the game.
But they can look back on two wins and a defeat against Leicester this season.
The Bluebirds went into the FA Cup fifth round after a 4-2 win over the Foxes in January in which Chris Burke, Ross McCormack, Peter Whittingham and Jay Bothroyd were the scorers.
But honours were even in the Championship during the regular campaign, Martyn Waghorn's goal the difference at Leicester in early March while Whittingham and McCormack saw the Bluebirds home later that month in a 2-1 win in Cardiff.
Both clubs have since underlined their pedigree by reaching the play-offs and Jones expects a tense time for players, officials and fans of all the clubs involved in the coming weeks.
The play-off final will be held at Wembley on Saturday, 22 May and Jones said: "We know we've got two tough games.
"It's going to be very tight for the four teams.
"We're all chasing the dream and we'll be confident without being overconfident.
"We know what's expected of us, we know what we've got to do and we've got to try and get past Leicester over two games.
"If we play to our strengths, then we've got a chance as much as they have. So if you deserve it, you'll get it."
Jones has no qualms over the seeding mechanism that sees them play at Leicester in the first play-off game and at home in the second.
He said: "It doesn't really matter, I promise you that. I've done it both ways.
"I've won it both way and failed it both ways - it'll be down to the best team on the day over the two games and then the big one and that's what I've always believed."
