Wales under-21 international Darcy Blake has returned to Cardiff City after a four-month loan spell at Championship rivals Plymouth Argyle.
Plymouth boss boss Paul Mariner had told Cardiff manager Dave Jones he wanted to keep the versatile player.
Academy graduate Blake, however, has come back to Cardiff after playing seven games for the Home Park club.
But Blake is behind Paul Quinn, Kevin McNaughton and teenager Adam Matthews in Cardiff's right-back pecking order.
The 21-year-old has appeared 33 times for Cardiff since his debut in 2006 and has made 14 under-21 appearances for Wales.
