Johnson plays a key role in the heart of Cardiff City's defence
Roger Johnson has warned Arsenal that Cardiff City are in confident mood ahead of Monday's FA Cup fourth-round replay at Emirates Stadium.
The Bluebirds drew 0-0 in the first clash at Ninian Park and Johnson says he and his team-mates deserved to win.
"Yes, of course [we're feeling confident]," said Johnson. We didn't embarrass ourselves in the home game.
"We did enough to probably win the game so we are going into the game with a lot of confidence."
The Bluebirds defender added: "If we play as well as we can we are good enough to beat anyone so we're confident."
However, Johnson acknowledges last season's beaten FA Cup finalists are fully aware of the toll a successful cup run could take on their hopes of promotion from the Championship to the top flight.
"We run with a small squad. It's a good squad, but it is small. Our priority this season is promotion," said Johnson.
"Obviously the FA Cup is nice. We had it last season and it is good, but it took its toll on us... and our league form dipped a bit so personally I'd much rather be getting out of the division.
"Not writing off the cup, but sometimes you can do without it, but we'll be going into every game to win it so we'll see where it takes us."
Former Arsenal trainee Jay Bothroyd is hoping to prove his worth when he makes his first trip to the Emirates.
"Apart from my time at Arsenal, I've never enjoyed my football as much as I am doing at Cardiff," said Bothroyd, who has eight goals in 26 league appearances since his summer move from Wolves.
"They've made me feel really at home and hopefully our good form can continue.
"We're going to have to press them and get tight because if you give them time on the ball they play it about.
They've done it against some of the best teams in the world in Manchester United, Chelsea and in the Champions League.
"We did just that is the first half at Ninian Park and we're going to have to apply the pressure again this time if we are to get something out of the game."
