Wales manager John Toshack says Cardiff City's promising midfielder Aaron Ramsey should not succumb to the temptation of a Premiership move.
Everton manager David Moyes is among clubs to have shown interest in Ramsey, 17, and Joe Ledley, 20.
Toshack believes young players are better off playing regularly in the Championship rather than struggling for game time in the Premiership.
He told BBC Sport Wales: "It's a bit early for Ramsey to make such a move."
Toshack also expressed his delight at the Bluebirds' FA Cup final appearance on May 17 against Portsmouth.
He says if Portsmouth fail to heed the lessons of Middlesbrough's downfall against the Bluebirds, the Welsh club can create a shock at Wembley.
He said: "Portsmouth firm favourites? Of course they are, but you never know. You never know what can happen in a cup.
"If they go out with the same attitude as Middlesbrough they could be in trouble. If you look at the games Cardiff have played, they've deserved to win each game."
"To go and see Cardiff City play in the FA Cup final is a terrific achievement."
