Cardiff City will share the ground with the Blues rugby side |
Cardiff City say their new stadium will be ready for them and Cardiff Blues at the start of the 2009/10 season. The clubs, stadium developers PMG and contruction company Laing O'Rourke say work is on course for games to be played in the build-up to the campaign.
"It's bang on course," Bluebirds chairman Peter Ridsdale told BBC Sport.
"There was a lot of uncertainty before Christmas and that was disappointing, but this is a new beginning for Cardiff City and Cardiff Blues."

There had been fears the court action taken against the Bluebirds by the Langston Corporation might derail the project.
The two sides are due to meet in court again in March, but there is growing optimism that a deal may be done to avoid that.
"I've always said I don't believe that would be in anybody's interest," Ridsdale told BBC Sport Wales.
"I don't believe we will get to court in March. I believe that sense will prevail."
The clubs also announced the launch of their new 2,250 seat members club and corporate hospitality facilities called the "Premier Club".
