Cardiff City manager Dave Jones says Aaron Ramsey has the potential to become one of the club's greats. Ramsey became Cardiff City's youngest ever player when he made his debut against Hull City on Saturday, aged just 16 years and 124 days.
"He's the one showing everything we believe. On another day when we had more players he wouldn't have been there," said Jones.
"The boy has a great future here. What we've got to do is take care of him."
Midfielder Ramsey ended John Toshack's 42-year record by 113 days when he came on six minutes from the end of Saturday's Championship match.
The Wales under-16 captain joined fellow Cardiff youth products Darcy Blake, Joe Ledley and Chris Gunter on the pitch, highlighting the lack of strength in depth of Jones' squad.
"I was encouraged by the young lads," Jones said, who has promised to make radical squad changes over the summer.
"Darcy, I thought was outstanding and he showed a maturity in midfield. Chris Gunter, Joe Ledley and all the young players never let anyone down.
"I said before the game that I'd have to dip in to the kids and Aaron Ramsey is the best one at the moment."
