Cardiff owner Sam Hammam praised the FAW disciplinary committee for their "humane" treatment of the 21-year-old. "The Football Association of Wales saw the man first and the footballer second," Hammam told The Mirror. Inspiration "They recognised Leon is a soul who never had a chance in life and acted in a humane manner. "Leon will join Alcoholics Anonymous. He will also receive a proper scholastic education - his education will be monitored until he becomes fully literate." Hammam added: "I now want him to improve - he should receive his inspiration from the likes of Tony Adams and Paul Merson. "I only wish he could read their books and share what they went through." | See also: Other top Cardiff City stories: Links to more Cardiff City stories are at the foot of the page. | ||
