Martin Ling has 'endeavour' to lead Cambridge United
Ling's side suffered their third home defeat of the league campaign on Tuesday
Cambridge United boss Martin Ling says he has the right people around him to turn his side's fortunes around.
The U's lost 5-1 at home to Mansfield on Tuesday to end a run of seven league games without defeat.
And Ling told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire he is confident he can continue to take the club in the right direction.
"It hurts talking about a 5-1 defeat but if I didn't think I had endeavour and people trying to do it right then I wouldn't stay around here," he said.
"We haven't lost since the end of October and there's a few disgruntled people at the end of the game, which you expect.
"Let's put it into perspective, it's a bad day at the office but it's not a disaster like everyone wants it built up to to be."
Cambridge, who are 13th in the Blue Square Bet Premier, host local rivals Histon at the Abbey on New Year's Day.
