Cambridge United boss Gary Brabin has praised striker Lee McEvilly after he was dropped from the U's starting line-up in the win over Grays Athletic.

McEvilly came off the bench to score the winner from the penalty spot.

Brabin told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "Lee McEvilly's ability was never in question, but I felt he hadn't worked as hard as he could.

"But Macca responded brilliantly, I was the first person to go over and give him a big hug".
