Cambridge United have sold over 17,000 tickets for Sunday's Blue Square Premier play-off final.
Only 4,000 seats remain on sale in the Cambridge end for the match against Exeter at Wembley.
U's defender Dan Gleeson told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire that he is relishing the buzz created by the final.
"It seems to be brought up everywhere you go at the minute, whether it's out at the shops or just sat at home, you're reminded of it," he said.
Speaking as a guest on Monday Sport, the U's wing-back said he is hoping that the club will be able to sell out their ticket allocation.
"It would be nice to reach 20,000 and play in front of a big crowd.
Gleeson, who is a childhood U's fan, admitted he would become more tense in the build up to the match but he said he intends to enjoy the day.
"As the week goes on we'll start to get more and more nervous, it's every lads dream to play at Wembley."
