Beesley unhappy with debut result
Cambridge United's latest signing Mark Beesley says he hopes his career at the club will improve after they lost 1-0 to Exeter on his debut.

Striker Beesley joined the Us from Forest Green on Tuesday and played his first game for them on the same day.

"It was a bad start to my career here, hopefully it'll be better next time," he told Cambridge's website.

The 27-year-old signed a deal that will keep him at Cambridge until June 2010 after joining for an undisclosed fee.

Beesley is Cambridge boss Jimmy Quinn's fifth signing in the January transfer window.

He will not be able to play against Rovers when they face Cambridge on 23 February.
