Cambridge United have completed the signing of Bedford Town midfielder Ben Farrell on a deal which runs until the end of the season. The Blue Square Premier side have the option of another year.
There is no transfer fee for the 21-year-old because he was on non-contract terms with the Eagles.
Cambridge boss Jimmy Quinn said: "He's the right age, he's big and strong, and I am sure he will be a really good addition to the squad."
Farrell will be reunited with former team-mate Gavin Hoyte, who joined the U's from Bedford Town last summer.
