Cambridge United have been fined �3,000 by the FA for their poor disciplinary record last season. The Blue Square Premier club has also been given an additional �3,000 suspended fine.
An FA disciplinary panel handed out the punishment after the U's received nine red cards and 86 cautions last season.
Cambridge boss Jimmy Quinn had hoped for just a warning after allowing all those players sent off last season to leave the club.
