Castle, who joined the U's with Quinn last September, has been released from his contract by mutual consent to take up a job offer elsewhere.

Meanwhile, long-serving defender Andy Duncan, 29, has been told he will not be offered a new contract next season.

Wayne Purser, Jon Grady, Michael Gash, David Bridges and keeper Paul Crichton are also being released, while Aidan Collins has retired though injury.
