He has signed a 12-month deal after talks over a new contract initially broke down at the end of last season.

The 25-year-old had returned to Cambridge for a second spell from Blue Square Premier rivals Rushden & Diamonds in January.

"If he can focus on being a little more selfish at times I'm sure he'll get the goals for us," boss Jimmy Quinn told Cambridge's website.
