 Cambridge are preparing for their second Conference season |
Former Norwich City striker Lee Power has been named as the new chairman of Conference outfit Cambridge United. The 34-year-old joined the U's board alongside local man Philip Law.
"Cambridge is a great club and I'm delighted to have the chance to start moving things forward ion the playing side," Power told their website.
Power enjoyed a 12-year playing career including spells with Bradford and Hibernian, but was forced to retire at 28 after two broken legs.
Power will work closely with manager Rob Newman and assistant Tony Spearing to help them out on the football side of the club.
Law, 44, will be responsible for stadium management and infrastructure development.
