Bury have named Chris Brass as the new manager of their centre of excellence. Brass may still have a playing role at Gigg Lane but takes on a position in the youth set-up which will also include assisting with the youth team.
The former Burnley defender, 31, has previous management experience from a spell in charge of York City.
Brass joined Bury in January, 2006 but has not yet been given a playing contract for the new season following hernia surgery.
