The teenager was released by North End but impressed Bury boss Chris Casper during a trial spell in April when he played for the Shakers' reserves.

Casper told the club's website: "He's a good player that will push through the squad and make a career for himself.

"He's what you want to get in and give a chance. He is the rough diamond that every manager looks for."
