Bury have completed the signing of former Burnley and York City defender Chris Brass. Brass, 30, has agreed a deal until the end of the season after securing his release from York - where he was previously player-manager - last week.
"He will give us the attitude I am looking for and will add his experience and motivation to the squad," Bury boss Chris Casper told his club's website.
Brass has played on loan at Southport and Harrogate this season.
He had managed York between June 2003 and November 2004, but remained on their books as a player.
