Right-back Richard Jackson has signed an 18-month deal at Burton Albion that will see him remain with the Brewers until the end of next season.
The former Derby County, Hereford, Luton and Scarborough defender joined Burton from Whitby Town in December and has made three appearances so far.
The 29-year-old played with Albion boss Paul Peschisolido while at the Rams.
"He's a player whose track record speaks for itself," the Brewers boss told the club's website.
"He's come in and he's been absolutely fantastic. He's extremely hard working on and off the pitch and he's great to have around the club."
