Clough hopes to extend the Coventry midfielder's loan for a third month but seeks permission from his parent club to play him in the derby on 27 October.

"We have to take account of whether he'll be available for the FA Cup," the Brewers' boss told the Burton Mail.

"Ideally, we would want Andy in our squad rather than have have him sitting in the stand."
