A knee injury forced Rowett to retire |
Former Derby and Birmingham defender Gary Rowett is poised to come out of retirement with Burton Albion. Rowett, 31, last played for Charlton in August 2003 before a knee injury forced him out of the professional game.
He will train with the Brewers after playing in the game against Manchester United to open Burton's new stadium.
Boss Nigel Clough told the Burton Mail: "If his knee stands up to it we'll have a chat with a view to doing something after Christmas."
