Sinton has had a knee injury |
Former England international Andy Sinton has been released by Burton. The ex-Queens Park Rangers, Tottenham, Sheffield Wednesday and Wolves winger joined the Brewers in August 2002 and played 39 times for the club.
But he has struggled with a knee injury this season, prompting Burton boss Nigel Clough to let him go.
"He gave us a lot of experience over two years and he would like to have played a lot more than he has," Clough told the Derby Evening Telegraph.
Sinton, 37, played for England under Graham Taylor and cost Wednesday 2.7m when they signed him from QPR in 1993.
"It is not too often that you get to see someone of Andy Sinton's quality at this level," Clough added.
