Burnley's Marvin Bartley reveals career motivation
Bartley is available for Saturday's home game against Norwich
Burnley midfielder Marvin Bartley believes his appetite for success stems from his early career outside the game.
The 24-year-old joined the Clarets on transfer deadline day from Bournemouth, rejoining former manager Eddie Howe at Turf Moor.
"When I was 20 I was fitting windows and conservatories," Bartley told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"I know what it's like outside of football and don't want to go back to the nine-to-five again."
He added: "Now I'm full-time and playing for a massive team in the Championship who are trying to go up to the next level again.
"I enjoy what I do now, I love it and maybe that gives me that extra bit of hunger to be successful and I will do everything in my power to achieve my goals."
I've got to bide my time and work hard... and hopefully when I do get my opportunity I'll basically grab it and keep it

Reading-born Bartley became Burnley's second signing during the January transfer window when his deal went through after the deadline because of problems with the Championship club's fax machine.
And Bartley, who spent the previous four years with Bournemouth and appeared 113 times for the south coast club, admitted he had no hesitation in rejoining former manager Howe.
"I enjoyed my time at Bournemouth, but with Eddie and Jason [Tindall - assistant manager] up here now they've done a lot for me over the past couple of years and hopefully I can take that on now," said Bartley.
"They're brilliant to work with and they've brought a lot of players on and I think they'll do the same with the boys here.
"My challenge now is to get in the squad first and then into the team.
"The boys have done well since Eddie and Jason have been here so I've got to bide my time and work hard on the training pitch and hopefully when I do get my opportunity I'll basically grab it and keep it."
