Burnley manager Owen Coyle believes midfielder Chris Eagles has continued to flourish during his short time at Turf Moor.
The 22-year-old scored both goals in the weekend win over Norwich, taking his tally to four since joining Burnley from Manchester United in July.
"In his first three games I felt Chris was trying to do everything himself," Coyle told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"But he's come on a ton and long may that continue."
And Coyle feels the red card the Hemel Hempstead-born player picked up against Plymouth in August may prove to be beneficial in the long-term.
"In many ways his sending-off was a blessing, as bizarre as that sounds.
"But it afforded him the opportunity to look at the Championship close-up, rather than being in the fray.
"He was able to step back slightly and notice that there were very good players in this league.
"It also showed he wouldn't have to do everything himself and he could rely on his team-mates to help him."
