Albania forward Berisha, 22, injured cruciate knee ligaments in an international against Malta last month.

The Clarets signed Berisha from German club Hamburg for �340,000 but he is yet to appear for Steve Cotterill's team.

Cotterill said: "He snapped his cruciate and had it operated on on Wednesday, so he'll be out for the rest of the season."
