Burnley are set to sign striker Luton Shelton if they can secure a work permit for the Jamaican international. Shelton, 19, has impressed Clarets boss Steve Cotterill during a trial spell and Burnley have agreed a deal with the player and his club Harbour View.
Burnley recently failed in their bid to gain a work permit for former West Brom midfielder Artim Sakiri will hope for a different outcome this time.
The Clarets will present their case at a hearing on Thursday.
Cotterill told the club's website: "We certainly hope we'll be luckier than we were last time.
"He's a good young player that will be a good addition not only to Burnley, but football in this country."
