Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope unfazed by Bath loss
Trollope's side finished 11th in League One last season
Bristol Rovers manager Paul Trollope admitted to having mixed feelings following his side's 2-0 defeat against Bath City.
The Blue Square Premier newcomers won Wednesday's friendly with goals from Lee Phillips and Yan Klukowski.
"We were pleased with a lot of things, though obviously we would have liked to have won the game," Trollope told the club's website.
"We got off to a shocking start but gradually grew into the game."
Rovers were caught cold in the first minute when Sido Jombati crossed for Phillips to score from close range and conceded a second seven minutes from time.
Trollope added: "The players came into the game off the back of two full, intense, days' training so we knew there would be a little bit of stiffness in the legs.
"Consequently, we were looking at the physical state of the players, trying to bed down a new system and look at options within that system.
"We go away thinking it was a fantastic workout."
Rovers are likely to be without midfielder Ben Swallow, who has a knee injury, when they leave for a two-match tour of Scotland on Friday.
