Bristol Rovers have confirmed Byron Anthony did not suffer a broken bone during the 0-0 draw with Tranmere.
The defender was stretchered off just before half-time following a last-ditch challenge on Tranmere's Bas Savage.
But Bristol Rovers manager Paul Trollope told BBC Radio Bristol a precautionary X-ray "showed nothing".
"He can put weight through it which is really good and he's got a chance for Wednesday [against Exeter], but still and outside one," Trollope said.
