Bristol Rovers head coach Paul Trollope hopes the money generated during the club's FA Cup run to the quarter-final will help them build for the future. He told BBC Radio Bristol: "It's a huge boost to the club to get those finances in, which isn't budgeted for.
"We've got a new stadium around the corner which is going to cost money.
"We're ground-sharing [with Cheltenham] next year, which is not the easiest thing to do, especially if your crowds are going to dwindle a little bit."
"Hopefully this cash will maintain our progression with the playing squad and the playing budget," he added.
