Trollope eyes quarter-final spot
Paul Trollope
Trollope is confident Rovers can make the last eight
Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope is confident his side can reach the FA Cup quarter-finals after drawing Southampton at home in the fifth-round.

He told BBC Radio Bristol: "It's a good home tie for us. You always look for one of the big boys but we didn't get one so to be at home is good.

"We're going to be confident and looking to go through.

"We've had some good cup nights at the Mem and with a quarter-final place at stake it'll be a special night."

He added: "We still need to cause an upset, they're a good side, it's a tough game but we believe we can go through.

"If it had been one of the big four it would have been difficult to keep the boys' feet on the ground but it's not one of those, it's one that I'm calm about and hopefully the players will be calm about as well.

"We've got five league games between now and then and some games in hand. Now our immediate aim is clawing back some points and getting into the top half of the table.

"The FA Cup has treated us well in the last few years but I always want more and when it comes round we'll want to get in the quarter finals."
