Trollope upset after fiery derby
Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope
Trollope was angry after his side lost to a controversial penalty
Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope was furious with referee Rob Styles after their stormy derby game at Swindon.

Both sides had two players sent off, while five others were booked and Swindon won 1-0 after converting a hotly disputed penalty.

"Christian Roberts went to ground very easily and the referee gave a penalty - but there should never have been four red cards," Trollope fumed.

"It wasn't that type of game - but he (Styles) made it that sort of game."

On the two Rovers players dismissed, he added: "Richard Walker assures us that he was dragged to the floor and pinned down.

"The linesman has said Steve Elliott has gone head to head with one of their players - yet if that did happen, their player stayed on.

"If there was ill discipline from us, the players in question will be fined.

"But we'll also look at the incidents in question and decide if there are grounds for appeal.

"We've now lost four players through injury or suspension for the next match.

"Danny Coles went to hospital with a fractured cheekbone following an elbow which the referee missed, and Sean Rigg has done his hamstring."
