Bristol Rovers have appointed Ron Craig as their new chairman following Geoff Dunford's decision to step down from his post at the club. Craig will officially take over on Sunday - the day after Rovers' Johnstone's Paint Trophy final with Doncaster at the Millennium Stadium.
Dunford announced in October that he was to relinquish his position in order to pursue other interests.
Nick Higgs has been appointed to the position of vice-chairman.
A statement on the club website said: "The club faces tow major challenges over the next few years - namely delivering the regeneration of the Memorial Stadium and mounting a successful promotion challenge."
Dunford succeeded his father Denis, who is now the club's president, as chairman six years ago after being vice chairman at the Memorial Stadium since 1986.
